คุณธนวัฒน์ วันสม ประธานกรรมการผู้บริหารบริษัท TW Investment Group กลุ่มบริษัทที่ดูแลและบริหารโครงการด้านการลงทุนระดับนานาชาติ ได้รับสิทธิ์จากองค์กร Miss Universe Organization ให้เป็นผู้ถือลิขสิทธิ์ในการจัดการประกวด Miss Universe 2018 อย่างเป็นทางการแต่เพียงผู้เดียว โดยภายในงานแถลงข่าวมี คุณวีระศักดิ์ โควสุรัตน์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา คุณพอลล่า แมร์รี่ ชูการ์ต ประธานองค์กรมิสยูนิเวิร์ส บริษัท WME / IMG พร้อม คุณเดมี-ลีห์ เนล-ปีเตอร์ส มิสยูนิเวิร์ส ปี 2017 จากประเทศแอฟริกาใต้ ผู้ครองตำแหน่งคนล่าสุด, คุณอาภัสรา หงสกุล มิสยูนิเวิร์สปี 1965 และ คุณนาตาลี เกลโบวา มิสยูนิเวิร์ส 2005 ที่ห้องอเนกประสงค์ ชั้น 1 หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร ในวันอังคารที่ 31 กรกฎาคม เวลา 14.00 น.

Tanawat Wansom Chairman of Executive Directors of TW Investment Group overseeing and managing international investment projects, has been officially granted a sole proprietorship from Miss Universe Organization to host Miss Universe 2018 pageant. Guests of honor attending the conference includes Weerasak Kowsurat, Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Paula Mary Shugart, the President of The Miss Universe Organization, WME/IMG, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, the winner of Miss Universe 2017 from South Africa, Apasra Hongsakula Miss Universe 1965, and Natalie Glebova, Miss Universe 2005, will also attend the press conference taken place on July 31, 2018 at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Multi-Function Room, 1st  Floor at 02:00 P.M. 

Miss Universe หรือ นางงามจักรวาล เป็นเวทีการประกวดความงามระดับนานาชาติ ที่มีประวัติอันยาวนาน ที่มอบประสบการณ์อันมีค่า รวมถึงสร้างชื่อเสียง สร้างประวัติศาสตร์ให้แก่ผู้ที่เข้าร่วมประกวดในแต่ละปี ถือได้ว่าเป็นรายการประกวดที่ได้รับความนิยมจากผู้ติดตามและผู้ชมสูงที่สุดในโลก โดยการแข่งขันจะคัดเลือกสาวงามที่ชนะการประกวด Miss Universe ของแต่ละประเทศเพื่อส่งเข้าร่วมประกวดในเวทีระดับโลก มาร่วมเก็บตัวและทำกิจกรรม พร้อมทั้งเก็บคะแนนจากการเดินแบบชุดว่ายน้ำ ชุดราตรี และ การตอบคำถามแสดงทัศนคติของสาวงาม ซึ่งจะมีเพียงหนึ่งคนที่เหมาะสมและคู่ควรกับมงกุฎอันทรงเกียรตินี้ นอกจากจะมีความงามต้องมีความเฉลียวฉลาดและปฏิภาณไหวพริบให้สมกับตำแหน่ง “Miss Universe” ที่ถือคติ “Confidently Beautiful”

Miss Universe is an international beauty pageant which has a long-standing history, providing memorable experience that includes reputation and creating once-in-a-life-time history for contestants. The competition draws people’s attention and is one of the competition getting the most viewers around the world. The journey of pursuing the world’s ultra-coveted title starts when Miss Universe representing each country gathers at a preparation camp to do activities alongside with beauty pageant fellows, while collecting scores from preliminary competitions that include swimsuit, nightgown, and attitude-reflected responses. There is the only one, who can greatly represent ‘confidently beautiful’ comprising of beauty, smart, and sagaciousness, that deserves Miss Universe crown. 

การจัดงานการประกวด Miss Universe ในแต่ละปี โดย Miss Universe Organization เป็นผู้ดำเนินการคัดเลือกประเทศสำหรับการจัดประกวด ซึ่งประเทศไทยเคยได้รับเกียรติในการจัดเวทีประกวดครั้งยิ่งใหญ่ถึง 2 ครั้ง ปีนี้ถือเป็นครั้งที่ 3 ในรอบ 13 ปีหลังจากปี ค.ศ. 2005 ที่ได้รับสิทธิ์เป็นเจ้าภาพในการจัดการประกวด Miss Universe
ในปีนี้เป็นโอกาสที่ดีทาง บริษัท TW Investment Group เจ้าของลิขสิทธิ์การจัดการประกวด Miss Universe 2018 นำโดย คุณธนวัฒน์ วันสม อดีตกรรมการผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ อสมท. ปัจจุบันเป็นประธานกรรมการผู้บริหารบริษัท TW Investment Group และเป็นที่ปรึกษาประธานกลุ่มบริษัท CT Bright Holdings Limited (ในกลุ่ม CP) ได้รับความไว้วางใจจาก Miss Universe Organization ให้เป็นผู้ถือสิทธิ์ในการเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประกวด Miss Universe ครั้งที่ 67 ประจำปี 2018 ในประเทศไทย

Each year, Miss Universe Organization selects a country where the pageant will be taken place. Thailand has been historically selected twice, and this year will mark the third time in 13 years, ever since the last time hosting in 2005.  
It is a great opportunity for TW Investment Group led by Tanawat Wansom, who the formerly was the director of MCOT Public Company Limited , and now Chairman of Executive Directors of TW Investment Group and Senior Advisor of CT Bright Holdings Limited (in CP Group) to be offered a sole proprietorship in holding the 67th Miss Universe competition in Thailand this year.

As a sole proprietorship, TW Investment Group foresees hosting the competition as a medium to promote and present Thailand to the world. With the focus on stimulating economy, especially through tourism and hospitality, it is expected that cash flow in the country will be improved. In addition, international trade including foods, consumer goods, and service will be supported,  and traditional Thai culture will be divulged to viewers and consumers worldwide.
